John is a Partner of RSM US LLP, a leading provider of consulting, audit and tax services. RSM US is the largest U.S. provider of assurance, tax and consulting services focused on the middle market, with nearly 18,000 professionals in 77 U.S. cities, over ten locations in Canada, El Salvador and India.  It has also been recently announced that effective January 1, 2026, the US firm is expected to officially join forces with RSM UK and RSM Ireland.

With over 28 years of public accounting experience, John is a member of the firm’s real estate practice and leads the firm’s national hospitality sector. John is also the RSM US Ireland Country Practice leader responsible for assisting Irish companies with Foreign Direct Investment into the US and ensuring US clients with operations in Ireland receive a seamless global RSM experience. 

A fellow in the Institute of the Chartered Accountants in Ireland, a Certified Public Accountant in the United States, a Certified Hospitality Accountant Executive and a Certified Fraud Examiner, John delivers advice and consultation regarding complex real estate accounting matters, assists engagement teams in audit matters, and is responsible for ensuring that reports issued by the firm comply with professional standards. 

John is a proud native of Craigavon in County Armagh. After graduating from Queen’s University Belfast, he began his career at RSM Belfast, earning his Irish Chartered Accountant designation before moving to the United States. For more than 26 years, John has called the U.S. home, though his roots remain strong. Most of his family still live in Portadown and Craigavon. Together with his wife and two children, John visits as often as possible.
