Karl Robinson is a Managing Director in the Macquarie Asset Management Solutions Group responsible for driving the strategy and establishment of businesses that allow clients to access new and differentiated investment opportunities. Karl has been with Macquarie for over 14 years, having relocated from Dublin to Sydney in 2010 to join Macquarie’s Corporate Strategy and Solutions team. In 2017 Karl moved to New York and became the Global COO for Macquarie Capital’s Infrastructure and Energy Group for 4 years until he joined Macquarie Asset Management in his current capacity. 

Karl has a deep connection with Ireland having grown up in Newbridge, Co. Kildare before moving to Dublin to study at University College Dublin where he graduated with first-class honors in Commerce and a Master of Business. Upon graduation, Karl joined Accenture in Dublin in 2003 working with financial services clients to transform their strategy, business operating models, and performance until he moved to Sydney in 2010.

Karl is happily married to his wife Niamh who hails from Wicklow town. Karl and Niamh live with their daughter, Sophia, in Old Greenwich, Connecticut. He enjoys participating in triathlons in his spare time and is preparing for an Ironman 70.3 in North Carolina in October.
