Kevin Conway

Kevin Conway is the Vice Chairman of Clayton, Dubilier & Rice, a global private equity firm known for blending investment skills with operating capabilities to build great businesses. CD&R’s portfolio comprises 45 companies, with revenues exceeding $120 billion and over 475,000 employees. Over his 30-year career at CD&R, Kevin has held several leadership positions, including Chairman of the Investment Committee for over 23 years and Managing Partner and member of the Management Committee.

Before joining CD&R in 1994, Kevin held senior leadership positions with Goldman Sachs, where he was elected a partner. A magna cum laude graduate of Amherst College, he went on to earn an MBA from Columbia Business School and a JD from Columbia Law School.

Kevin is a trustee at the Carnegie Corporation, a board member of the New York Catholic Foundation, and a former chairman (now vice chairman) of Student Sponsor Partners. This charity provides scholarships and mentoring to inner-city high school students. Together with his wife, Dee, Kevin is a long-time supporter of many charitable and civic causes, including Catholic Charities, Adventures in Learning, the Irish Arts Center, City Harvest, Little Flower Children’s Services, and other organizations addressing education, social services, the arts, and the needs of the disadvantaged. He has also held several volunteer positions, working with the leadership and alumni of Amherst College. He is currently the co-chair of Access for All, a scholarship initiative at Chaminade High School. This initiative aims to provide full scholarships for students from the most underserved communities on Long Island.

Kevin, whose heritage traces back to immigrants from Leitrim and Cork in the 1800s, served as the Grand Marshal of the 2023 New York St. Patrick’s Day Parade. He helped raise over $1.5 million to combat food insecurity.
