Loretta Brennan Glucksman
Filmmaker & AIF President
Loretta Brennan Glucksman, of New York University’s Ireland House fame, was named as the new president of the prestigious American Ireland Fund late last year, having served some time as East Coast president of the Fund.
The head of her own public relations firm, Westland Associates, Loretta Brennan started working as a documentary filmmaker with WNET, the public broadcasting station.
When she married Lew Glucksman, the couple went on to establish Ireland House at NYU, a much-needed Mecca for many disparate Irish events, where Loretta serves on the board of overseers. Ireland House held an international seminar on the 150th anniversary of the Irish Famine last year.
Loretta Brennan Glucksman’s work was also recognized by the American Irish Historical Society, which awarded her its gold medal in 1994.
