Megan E Bryson

Coffey Modica LLP

Megan E. Bryson is a partner at Coffey Modica LLP, a leading defense litigation firm representing businesses and insurance companies. She leads and directs her practice out of the firm’s Westport office, where she was promoted to Managing Partner in April 2025. Recognized for her impact in the Connecticut legal industry, her peers identified her as one of New England’s Best Attorneys, appearing on Rising Star and Ones to Watch lists multiple times over the years.

Throughout her 15 years in the legal industry, Megan has practiced across state and federal courts and administrative agencies. She focuses her practice on professional liability (including medical malpractice), employment law, commercial litigation and product liability, with particular expertise in aviation law. Prior to entering the field of law, she had a background working in genetics and bench science, specializing in mutation detection techniques. She currently serves as outside counsel to an air charter operator, among various other corporate entities and global non-profits.

Bryson is a proud Irish American with her paternal Great-Great-Great Grandparents, Mark and Catherine (Mackey) Tierney hailing from County Mayo to the United States in 1857. She is also a “Double Domer” from the University of Notre Dame where she earned both her Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and Pre-Medicine and returned to earn her JD from University of Notre Dame Law School. Megan, a mother to two sons, resides in Connecticut with her husband.
