Michael McInerney is a strategic business and technology leader with over 30 years’ experience in the biopharma industry. Currently serving as Executive Director in Business Development at Bristol Myers Squibb (BMS), he manages BMS’s Equity Investment & Venture portfolio. Michael is also responsible for planning and execution of strategic transactions including digital and AI technologies at BMS.

Prior to his current role, Michael gained experience in M&A, divestitures, strategic alliances, and research collaborations where he has participated in a wide array
of corporate initiatives at BMS. Michael has also served in leadership roles across Manufacturing, Quality, Enterprise Services and IT covering Europe, Asia Pacific,
and the US.

Michael was born in Limerick, Ireland and obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial Chemistry and Business Administration postgraduate from the University of Limerick. He began his career in Dublin as a Chemist with Bristol Myers Squibb in 1994 and following assignments at BMS locations in the UK, France & Italy, moved to the US with BMS in 1999. Michael currently resides in Princeton, NJ.
