Since October 2005, Patrick Henry Dowling has been the Managing Director and General Manager of CIT Aerospace and Defense Finance. In his time at CIT, a leading provider of commercial and consumer financing solutions, Dowling has been responsible for expanding the global reach of CIT Aerospace & Defense Finance.

Patrick, who received a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Fordham University and a Juris Doctorate from Pace University School of Law, began his career at Price Waterhouse and The Continental Group. In 1984, he began working at GE Commercial Finance and later served as Managing Director and Industry Leader-Aerospace and Defense for GE Commercial and Industrial Finance.

An active member of the American Institute of CPA’s and the Connecticut Society of CPA’s, as well as the National Chamber Foundation of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the Institute for Defense & Business, Patrick is a second-generation Irish-American, whose mother’s family hails from County Cork. He is married to Kate and has three sons: Patrick (Paddy), Connor, and Mackenzie (Mack).
