Steve Beckett

As a Managing Director on the Institutional Capital team and Head of Institutional Portfolio Solutions for Blue Owl Capital, Steve Beckett focused on new product development, structuring custom solutions for strategic clients, and providing thought leadership and consultancy for the institutional investor community.

Before joining Blue Owl, Steve served as Head of Private Markets Risk at Aksia, a leading alternative investment consultant. Previously, he was part of the North American Leveraged Finance Group at Allied Irish Bank, where he oversaw corporate, real assets, project finance, and distressed credit portfolios.

Steve, who is currently transitioning to his next role, which he will begin in the New Year, is a Dubliner by birth. He attended St. Andrews College for high school before pursuing a BBS in Finance and Strategic Management at Trinity College Dublin, from which he graduated with honors. He continued his financial education after moving to the US in 2011, becoming a CFA charterholder and earning the CAIA designation.

Proud to serve on the board of the Children’s Medical Research Foundation, which supports research into pediatric diseases in Ireland, the US, and around the world, Steve lives in Brooklyn with his wife, Viv, their boys, Theo and Max, and their new puppy, Tuxis. He loves to bring the family back to Howth, where he grew up.
