Susie Fagan

Growing up in Dublin, Susie Fagan never imagined that a career in finance would ultimately take her across the Atlantic and make New York City home. Today, she is a Director in U.S. Rates Sales within the Markets division at Barclays Investment Bank. She works closely with institutional investors, including official institutions, financial institutions, and pension funds, discussing market developments, understanding their objectives, and facilitating the execution of investment and risk management strategies across rates markets.

Susie earned a Bachelor of Business Studies from Trinity College Dublin and spent her third year studying abroad at Queen’s University in Canada. She joined Barclays through the firm’s graduate program in London in 2010 before relocating to New York several years later, where she has spent more than a decade building deep client relationships and growing her franchise.

She credits her Irish upbringing with helping her develop the resilience, relationship-building skills, and sense of community that have been instrumental throughout her career. Susie lives in Brooklyn with her husband, Alan, a fellow 2026 honoree, and their three children, Eva, Felix, and Toby but “home” will always mean Ireland to her. Outside of work, Susie enjoys running, reading, and spending time with her family.
