Tom Moran

Tom Moran is a titan in both the business world and philanthropic circles. He is chairman, president and CEO of Mutual of America, one of the country’s preeminent life insurance companies serving health, education, humanitarian and government communities. He is also Chairman of the Board of Concern Worldwide U.S., an international humanitarian organization dedicated to the poorest people throughout the world.

Tom recently returned from Haiti, where he witnessed Concern’s efforts on behalf of the survivors of the earthquake. He said that “there are no easy solutions to the issues of intense poverty in the world and there are certainly no quick fixes to the earthquake in Haiti.” Citing Concern’s work in managing a large project to build new homes for 1,500 families, he said: “Let’s not give up on the children of Haiti who continue to need our help.” Tom, who has Irish roots in Cavan and Tipperary, lives in New York City with his wife, Joan.
