Tom O’Sullivan is Executive Director, Global Balance Sheet Solutions North America at BBVA. Joining the firm in May 2025, Tom leads BBVA’s cross-asset Securities Finance build out across Equities and Fixed Income Solutions in the US and Canada.

With over 11 years of experience in the Securities Finance market, Tom brings a unique cross-asset funding perspective to sell-side and brokerage firms. Formerly, Tom was Head of Equity Financing Sales EMEA at BNP Paribas in London, before relocating to New York in 2019, following its acquisition of Deutsche Bank’s Equity and Prime Brokerage business, leading Financing & Delta One Sales at BNP Paribas in the Americas, and most recently served as Head of Secured Funding at BayCrest Partners in New York.

A proud native of Kenmare, Co. Kerry, Tom graduated Cum Laude with a BSc. in Economics and Finance from University College Dublin. He is actively involved with several non-profits, including UCD alum chapters, and was Chairman of the Kerry Association London in 2019. He is also a founding member of the Kerry Ambassador Program – a Global Commerce and Investment Network aimed at encouraging investment in the region. Currently, he serves as Treasurer and board member of the Kerry New York association. Tom resides in Manhattan with his fiancée Erin.
