A MAN has been found guilty of murdering young mum Daena Walsh in Co. Cork in 2024. The 27-year-old mother of two young boys was found dead with multiple stab wounds at her home in Midleton on August 2, 2024. Her partner Adam Corcoran, originally from Ballincolig in Co. Six people died on Irish roads during week around St Patrick’s Day

SIX people died on Irish roads during the week around St Patrick’s Day. Gardaí conducted a nationwide policing operation from March 11 to March 18. During that period a total of six people died in collisions the police force confirmed today. A MAN has been sentenced for drugs-related offences following an investigation into criminality linked to the New IRA. Drugs worth £100k seized in Derry

DRUGS with an estimated street value ok £100k have been seized in Derry. The suspected Class A and Class B drugs were found by police officers in the city on March 18. The ban restricting Catholics from attending Trinity College Dublin is finally lifted on this day in 1970. Through the help of the then Archbishop of Dublin John McQuaid, the Roman Catholic church removes its policy of disapproval or even excommunication for Catholics who enrolled at Trinity College without the proper permission. Authorities at the school also allow for a Catholic chaplain to be based at the college.
