Gardaí release tattoo clue in bid to identify man left in critical condition following Temple Bar assault

GARDAÍ are attempting to identify a man left hospitalised following an alleged assault in Dublin's Temple Bar area by releasing details of the victim's tattoo. Concern grows for man missing from Dublin for more than two weeks

GARDAÍ have appealed to the public for assistance in tracing the whereabouts of man from Dublin who has not been seen for more than two weeks. Forrest Reid, Irish novelist and literary critic, was born on this day in Belfast in 1875. To this day, Reid is regarded amongst the likes of J.M. Barrie and Hugh Walpole as a pre-war British boyhood novelist. His most famous work was Young Tom, for which he won a James Tait Black Memorial Prize in 1944.
