Arklow ranked Ireland’s best town for work-life balance in new survey

ARKLOW has been ranked as the best town in the entire country for work-life balance, according to new research. The County Wicklow town scooped the top spot because of its “surprisingly affordable housing prices outside the city” and for its “mix of excellent local amenities and good connectivity for hybrid working”. Vogue Williams named grand marshal for Dublin’s St Patrick’s Day parade

Forrest Reid, Irish novelist and literary critic, was born on this day in Belfast in 1875. To this day, Reid is regarded amongst the likes of J.M. Barrie and Hugh Walpole as a pre-war British boyhood novelist. His most famous work was Young Tom, for which he won a James Tait Black Memorial Prize in 1944.
