GARDAÍ have appealed for witnesses to come forward after a man died following a collision in Co. Wexford. Garda operation sees 25 convicted sex offenders deported from Ireland

A TOTAL of 25 convicted sex offenders were deported from Ireland last year under the Gardaí’s Operation Moonridge. Cannabis worth €1.5m seized at Dublin Airport hidden in boxes labelled ‘car seats’

CANNABIS worth an estimated €1.5m was seized at Dublin Airport this week. Some 78kg of the drugs were uncovered by Revenue officers with the help of detector dog Lusai on January 21. MPs vote to remove conditional immunity over Troubles-era crimes from Legacy Act

329 passengers were killed in a plane crash off the coast of Ireland. Air India flight 182 was en route from Montreal to Dehli, when it was blown up in Irish airspace by a bomb. Investigation into the flight led Canadian officials to believe that a Sikh militant group called Babbar Khalsa was responsible for the bombing. 280 Canadian citizens, 27 British citizens and 22 Indian citizens were lost, resulting in the largest mass murder in modern Canadian history. A monument remembering the event was unveiled in 1986 in Ahakista, Cork.
