Anniversary appeal for information on man who disappeared 20 years ago today

POLICE have issued an anniversary appeal over a man who went missing 20 years ago today. Martin Kelly was last seen on New Year’s Day in 2006 in Belfast, where he had watched a football match at a bar with friends. He hasn’t been seen since. The Co. Call for NI Executive to make ‘doing their job’ their New Year’s resolution

POLITICAL ‘in-fighting’ must be brought to an end in Northern Ireland this year, the SDLP’s Claire Hanna has said. After the start of the Irish Rebellion of 1798 on May 24, the United Irishmen were defeated by British forces on this day in 1798. Historically known as the Battle of Vinegar Hill, almost 1,000 rebels lost their lives in this battle, which marked a turning point and eventual loss in the Rebellion of 1798.
