Man extradited to Lithuania for child human trafficking offences

A MAN has been extradited from Northern Ireland to Lithuania over child human trafficking offences. The 25-year-old is wanted to stand trial for a number of human trafficking offences involving children which happened in Taurage County, Lithuania in July 2020. Witness appeal after driver dies following collision in Cork

GARDAÍ have appealed for witnesses to come forward after a driver died in a collision in Cork city. The single vehicle incident happened at the Sarsfield Roundabout in Wilton at around 1.50pm yesterday afternoon. Irish state buys 100 acres of land to expand Glen of the Downs beauty spot

THE Irish Government has purchased 100 acres of land next to the Glen of the Downs beauty spot in Co. Wicklow. The site is one of Ireland’s few remaining ancient oak woodlands and ranks fifth in the country in terms of its condition.
