Police name man who died in Co. Antrim collision

POLICE have named a man who died in a Co. Antrim collision involving a car and a pedestrian as 24-year-old Jamie Mitchell from Portrush. IRELAND'S unemployment rate remained at 5% in October, according to new figures from the Central Statistics Office (CSO), as the number of people out of work edged higher compared with last year. PSNI launch hate crime investigation after Alliance HQ vandalised

POLICE have launched a hate crime investigation after graffiti was sprayed on the Alliance Party’s headquarters in what officers are treating as a sectarian-motivated incident. Denis Johnston, Irish playwright and protege of W.B. Yeats and George Bernard Shaw, was born on this day in 1901. Johnston’s first play, “The Old Lady Says No!” helped establish his career as a playwright. “The Moon in the Yellow River” (1931) is perhaps his most well known play.
