POLICE have issued a renewed appealed for information in their bid to locate the prime suspect in the murder of a much-loved father-of-two a decade ago. Teenager seriously injured following Lisburn hit-and-run

POLICE are appealing for information after a teenager was seriously injured in a hit-and-run in Lisburn. Pedestrian dies in collision in Co. Cavan

A PEDESTRIAN has died following a fatal road traffic collision in Co. Cavan. The single-vehicle collision occurred on the N54 at Plush, Cloverhill at around 10.45pm on Saturday. Anne Maeve Binchy was born in Dalkey, County Dublin. Known to the world as Maeve Binchy, she would go on to become a revered novelist, playwright, short story writer, columnist and speaker. Binchy was beloved for her descriptive characters and charmingly humorous portrayals of life in Ireland. Her novels sold more than 40 million copies worldwide. She died in 2012 at the age of 73.
