Irish university fined €40k over data breach

A UNIVERSITY in Ireland has been fined for a data breach which led to a member of staff falling victim to fraud. The breach at the University of Maynooth, which occurred in November 2018, saw hackers gain control of the email addresses of six employees. A SURVIVOR of the Stardust tragedy has said the opening of a new arts space at the site of the blaze is a “bittersweet moment”.
