A MAN has been arrested after gardaí seized drugs worth €643,000 in Co. Limerick. The drugs were discovered today during a search of a residence in Annacotty as part of ongoing investigations into the sale and supply of drugs in the region. Man in his 60s dies in Co. Galway collision

A MAN in his 60s has died following a single-vehicle road traffic collision in Co. Galway. The incident involving a car occurred at Tyrur, Newbridge, Ballinasloe at around 9.45am today. GARDAÍ have renewed their appeal for information on a teenager missing from Co. Louth who they believe may be in Britain. Lorcan Meehan, 18, has been reported missing since January 5, 2026. June 29, 1915

Jeremiah O’Donovan Rossa, a prominent Fenian leader and member of the Irish Republican Brotherhood, passed away in New York on June 29, 1915. Born in Co. Cork, Rossa was arrested and in 1865. He was charged with planning a Fenian Rising. He served out his sentence in England and after realizing he could not return to Ireland in exile, Rossa moved to the U.S. where he joined Clan Na Gael and the Fenian Brotherhood. A memorial to Rossa Stands in St. Stephen’s Green.
