A THIRD outbreak of bird flu has been confirmed in southern Ireland at a turkey farm in Co. Monaghan. Investigation underway following attempted hijacking in Belfast

AN INVESTIGATION is underway after an attempted hijacking of a teenager's scooter in Belfast. The incident happened at around 9.30pm on November 9. A group of young men approached the teenager as he was riding a scooter in the Stewartstown Road area and demanded he get off it. Barry Yelverton introduced the bill that will become Yelverton’s Act on this day in 1781. The bill was a modification to Poyning’s Law, which was already in place, and stated that all laws passed by both houses of the Irish parliament should be forwarded to England to become law by royal assent. This took the power to amend laws away from the Irish privy councils.
