GARDAÍ have appealed to the public for information on the whereabouts of a man missing from Co. Wexford. Stephen Ring, 27, was last seen on Tuesday, October 15 in Wexford Town. A WOMAN who stabbed a social worker in the head in an unprovoked attack in Co. Tyrone has been jailed for eight years. Fiyori Kesete, 25, also stabbed the woman in the back, arm and hand as she was unpacking groceries during the 2022 attack. A MAN aged in his 90s has died following a collision in a supermarket carpark in Co. Cork. June 30, 1932

On this day, Eamon de Valera abolished the Oath of Allegiance, a provisional aspect in the Anglo-Irish treaty of 1921. This provisional aspect originally required all members of the Irish parliament to take an oath declaring their allegiance to the King. This date also marked when de Valera withheld land annuities from England.
