‘Devastating losses’ Taoiseach sends condolences to families after five people killed on Irish roads

TAOISEACH Simon Harris has expressed his ‘deep sorrow” after five people were killed on Irish roads in recent days. Collisions in counties Cork, Kilkenny and Meath claimed five lives over the weekend, bringing the total people killed on Irish roads to 113 for the year so far. PRESIDENT Higgins has paid a tender tribute to his ‘dear friend’ Edna O’Brien following her death over the weekend. Families pay tribute to Ryanair pilots who died in traffic collision

THE FAMILIES of two Ryanair pilots who died in a collision on their way to the airport two weeks ago have paid to them. The success of “The Beauty Queen of Leenane” inspired McDonagh to complete his Leenane Trilogy with “A Skull in Connemara” and “The Lonesome West.”
