Sex offender who coerced and exploited 40 children is jailed for nine years

A MAN who carried out a series of online sexual offences against children across Britain has been sent to prison. Man who abused girl over two-year period is jailed for 15 years

A MAN who abused a girl over a two-year period been jailed for 15 years. Daniel O'Brien, of Kursaal Way, Southend, Essex, abused the girl between 2017 and 2019 before the offences were reported to police in 2021. Luas services disrupted after vehicle driven on to tracks

DUBLIN'S tram system faced disruption on Saturday evening after a vehicle was driven on to the tracks. The Luas Red Line suffered significant delays following the incident, which occurred near the Blackhorse stop shortly after 7pm last night. Frank Patterson, known as “Ireland’s Golden Tenor”, died on this day in 2000 at the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York. Born in Co. Tipperary in 1938, Patterson started singing as a young boy with his local church choir. He moved to Dublin in 1961 to enroll at the National Academy of Theater and studied acting and received vocal training. While studying in Paris, he caught the attention of Philips Recording Company after a radio broadcast. He signed a deal with the company and recorded his first record “My Dear Native Land.” He moved to the U.S. where he achieved the most success, selling out New York’s Carnegie Hall. He performed for Presidents Ronald Reagan and Bill Clinton.
