Man jailed for killing ‘best friend’ in violent hammer attack

A MAN who killed his friend in a violent hammer attack has been handed a life sentence. Gary O'Neill, 32, was arrested after passengers on a bus from Birmingham to Glasgow overheard him talking on a phone about the attack and contacted police. Two arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after boy reportedly stabbed by man in Co. Down

POLICE have arrested two people on suspicion of attempted murder following reports that a boy was stabbed by a man in Co. Down. Four teenagers arrested in Belfast after boy taken to hospital following assault

POLICE in Belfast have arrested four teenage boys following an assault that left another male teen requiring hospital treatment. After the start of the Irish Rebellion of 1798 on May 24, the United Irishmen were defeated by British forces on this day in 1798.
