High-value car found stripped bare after ‘well-planned theft’

POLICE are investigating after a car stolen in Northern Ireland was found abandoned in the Republic after being stripped bare for parts. The Audi Q7 was stolen from a home in Strabane, Co. Pay rise for PSNI officers approved by Northern Ireland’s Justice Minister Naomi Long

Four men released without charge after man reported kidnapped in Belfast is found in Dublin

FOUR men arrested by gardaí in Dublin following a report of a kidnapping in Belfast have been released without charge. The men were detained after armed garda units intercepted a vehicle on the M50 at Junction 4 in Ballymun shortly before 10pm on Thursday. After the start of the Irish Rebellion of 1798 on May 24, the United Irishmen were defeated by British forces on this day in 1798. Historically known as the Battle of Vinegar Hill, almost 1,000 rebels lost their lives in this battle, which marked a turning point and eventual loss in the Rebellion of 1798.
