A MURDERER who tried to dispose of his victim's body by weighing it down in a Co. Antrim reservoir has been told he must serve at least 21 years in prison. Teenager appears in court charged with murder of John Cavanagh

A TEENAGER will appear at the Old Bailey today after being charged with murdering a man who died following an attack in west London. John Cavanagh was assaulted in Dawley Avenue, Uxbridge at around 8pm on Monday, March 4. Funding injection of €289k to save out of print Irish language books for future generations

THE Irish Government has announced a €289k funding injection to reprint a range of Irish language books which are currently out of print or are about to be. Street art exhibition brings public on a journey through Dublin’s ‘nooks and crannies’

SIX artists feature in a unique outdoor exhibition which opens this week as part of Dublin’s St Patrick’s Festival. June 23, 1985

329 passengers were killed in a plane crash off the coast of Ireland. Air India flight 182 was en route from Montreal to Dehli, when it was blown up in Irish airspace by a bomb. Investigation into the flight led Canadian officials to believe that a Sikh militant group called Babbar Khalsa was responsible for the bombing. 280 Canadian citizens, 27 British citizens and 22 Indian citizens were lost, resulting in the largest mass murder in modern Canadian history. A monument remembering the event was unveiled in 1986 in Ahakista, Cork.
