A MAN and woman have been extradited from Malta to Northern Ireland as part of an investigation into rape and child cruelty. TWELVE people have been confirmed dead following a shooting at Bondi Beach in Australia, where around 1,000 were taking part in a Hanukkah celebration. Investigation continues after gang attacks Co. Armagh pensioner and attempts to set him on fire

POLICE are continuing to investigate an incident in Co. Armagh in which a masked gang attacked a pensioner with bats before attempting to set him on fire. The incident occurred at the man's home on Clay Road in Keady at around 7.35pm on Thursday. Denis Johnston, Irish playwright and protege of W.B. Yeats and George Bernard Shaw, was born on this day in 1901. Johnston’s first play, “The Old Lady Says No!” helped establish his career as a playwright. “The Moon in the Yellow River” (1931) is perhaps his most well known play.
