Six arrested as part of operation targeting organised crime gang in Dublin

SIX people have been arrested as part of an investigation into an organised crime gang in west Dublin. The arrests followed searches of a number of homes in the greater Blanchardstown area on Saturday morning. TWO children were among six people rescued from a fire at a Dublin home in an incident gardaí are treating as arson. The blaze occurred at a residence on Cherry Orchard Avenue, Ballyfermot, in the early hours of Saturday morning.
