Pedestrian injured in Kilkenny collision dies in hospital

A WOMAN who was injured in a collision in Kilkenny over the weekend has died in hospital. The pedestrian, who was aged in her 30s, was hit by a car on the N76 at Westcourt Demesne in Callan at around 9pm on March 28. €500k in funding for small live music venues across Ireland

A FUNDING allocation of €500k has been announced to support small live music and dance venues operating in Ireland. Tributes paid after two women die in horror Mother’s Day collision

TRIBUTES have been paid after two women died in a collision in Co. Cork on Mother's Day. Two cars collided on the N72, Navigation Road in Mallow at around 3.50pm on Sunday, March 30. American President Barack Obama and his wife Michelle landed in Ireland on the first day of a six-day European tour. He met with Taoiseach Enda Kenny and then President Mary McAleese, before visiting relatives in the village of Moneygall, Co. Offaly, form where his great-great-great grandfather Folmouth Kearney left in 1850 at the age of 19. He drank a pint of Guinness, as did his wife, in Ollie Hayes pub. Obama also gave a speech in College Green, Dublin to a crowd of 25,000, and planted a tree in Phoenix Park.
