Man charged with murder of Billy Keegan in east London

A MAN has appeared in court charged with the murder of Billy Keegan. The 50-year-old was found with a stab wound in the corridor of a block of flats in Chapel Road. Former Irish Ambassador to Britain appointed chair of Druid Theatre

A FORMER Irish Ambassador to Britain has been appointed the new chair of the Druid Theatre. Adrian O’Neill joined the board of directors at the Galway-based theatre in June. Five arrests after gardaí assaulted in public order incident

FIVE men have been arrested following a disturbance in Co. Donegal which saw gardaí assaulted. Officers were called to a disturbance in Quay Street at around 2am Sunday morning, October 6. Pupils treated in hospital after school bus overturns in Northern Ireland

FOUR pupils were in need of hospital treatment after the school bus they were travelling in overturned in Co. Down. The incident, which happened at around 3.50pm yesterday afternoon (October 7), saw an Ulsterbus containing 44 people overturn on the Ballyblack Road East Newtownards. June 5, 1968

Following his win in the California and South Dakota primaries, presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy made a speech addressing his campaign supporters at the Ambassador Hotel in LA, California. In an effort to make it to a press conference on time, Kennedy decided to pass through the kitchen, where he was shot by Sirhan Bishara Sirhan. He sustained three gun shot wounds and was immediately rushed to The Good Samaritan Hospital. Despite surgery, Kennedy died the next morning on June 6, 1968.
