Arrest made after car rammed into bank overnight

POLICE have arrested a man after a car was rammed into a bank in Derry overnight. PSNI officers were called after a red coloured car rammed into the Ulster Bank in Culmore Road at around 11.40pm. TWO men have been jailed after violently attacking and robbing a teenager at a bus stop. Witness appeal after pensioner died when car entered water

GARDAÍ have appealed for witnesses to come forward after a man in his 80s died when his car entered water following a collision. The incident happened at Buncrana Pier in Donegal st around 7.30am on March 19. Gardaí were called to reports of a vehicle in the water. Forrest Reid, Irish novelist and literary critic, was born on this day in Belfast in 1875. To this day, Reid is regarded amongst the likes of J.M. Barrie and Hugh Walpole as a pre-war British boyhood novelist. His most famous work was Young Tom, for which he won a James Tait Black Memorial Prize in 1944.
