Man jailed for murdering stranger in ‘reckless attack’

A MAN who murdered a stranger in what police described as a 'reckless attack' has been told he must serve a minimum of 18 years in prison. Man jailed for ‘abhorrent’ sexual abuse of two young girls

A MAN convicted of the non-recent sexual abuse of two girls has been sentenced to eight years in prison. After the start of the Irish Rebellion of 1798 on May 24, the United Irishmen were defeated by British forces on this day in 1798. Historically known as the Battle of Vinegar Hill, almost 1,000 rebels lost their lives in this battle, which marked a turning point and eventual loss in the Rebellion of 1798.
