Rosie O'Donnell welcomes Brian Connolly of AVON to "The Rosie O'Donnell Show". The show has teamed up with the Avon Breast Cancer Crusade for Breast Cancer Awareness month during October 2001.

In October Avon announced that it would donate the largest single corporate foundation gift ever made to the breast cancer cause – an unprecedented $50 million. The statutes of Kilkenny passed. The Statutes of Kilkenny were a series of thirty-five acts passed at Kilkenny in 1366. The laws were ordained to put a stop to the Anglo-Normans becoming more Irish than the Irish themselves. Under the statutes, marriage between the Anglo-Normans (English) and the Irish was banned. No English man could sell an Irishman a horse or arms even in peacetime. There was even a ban on Irish games. . . “do not, henceforth, use the plays which men call horlings, with great sticks and a ball upon the ground, from which great evils and maims have arisen….”
