Reba McIntyre, who wowed them on Broadway in Annie Get Your Gun, has a new sitcom set to launch on the WB this fall. Barry Yelverton introduced the bill that will become Yelverton’s Act on this day in 1781. The bill was a modification to Poyning’s Law, which was already in place, and stated that all laws passed by both houses of the Irish parliament should be forwarded to England to become law by royal assent. This took the power to amend laws away from the Irish privy councils.
