The Waterboys.

With the plethora of music sites on the web today, a new one dances apart form the other. Or jigs away, rather. Launched by Irish music business veteran Gerry Dornan, Irishmusicmail.com (inactive) offers a vast selection of Irish music, traditional to contemporary, jigs to reels to pop. Designed for east navigation, the site also offers a bargain basement for their CDs, which are already at hard-to-beat prices. A recent visit to the bargain bin found The Waterboys’ Fisherman’s Blues priced at £7.99 (that’s under $10) and others were only £4.99! Prices are listed in Irish pounds and Euros, but they do accept Visa, Mastercard and American Express. And don’t let the ‘Irish’ in the website’s name fool you; while the majority of the music is Irish, there are other artists as well as soundtracks available, though their selection seems random. The same trip to bargain bin found The Second Wives Club keeping company with Diana Ross and The Supremes. ♦
