Investigation underway after man dies in Co. Armagh collision

AN INVESTIGATION is underway after a man died in a road traffic collision in Co. Armagh.

The incident occurred on the Cullaville Road in Crossmaglen on Friday evening.

Police have now appealed for any witnesses to the incident to contact them.

“Police can confirm that a male pedestrian has died following a road traffic collision in Crossmaglen on Friday, November 1,” read a statement from the PSNI.

“A report was received, shortly after 11.50pm on Friday night, of a concern for the safety of a man on the Cullaville Road.

“Officers attended the scene to find a male lying in the road with serious injuries.

“CPR was commenced until the arrival of ambulance staff but sadly the man was pronounced dead at the scene.”

Anyone who witnessed anything, or captured dash-cam footage that could assist police, is asked to contact the Collision Investigation Unit on 101, quoting reference 2078 Of November 1.
