A WOMAN in her 70s has died in a house fire in Co. Limerick.
Gardaí and emergency services responded to reports of a fire at a property in Wolfe Tone Street in Limerick in the early hours of Saturday morning.
“During a search of the premises, the body of a woman was discovered,” read a statement from gardaí.
“The woman, aged in her 70s, was pronounced deceased at the scene.”
The scene has been preserved for a technical examination and inquiries are ongoing.
