Irish talent from across the worlds of arts, sport, business, and culture lit up London on November 27 as the Irish Post Awards 2025 returned to the Grosvenor House Hotel in Park Lane for another unforgettable celebration of Irish excellence.
More than 1,000 guests gathered for what has become one of the most important annual events for the Irish diaspora in Britain.
Elgin Loane, the host and owner of the Irish Post, opened the extravaganza, receiving a warm ovation from the audience.
“Thank you for being here and providing the electric atmosphere.
“They talk about a doom and gloom narrative on Britain… Well, not here! Not tonight! Not ever!” Loane added to loud cheers.
With visible emotion, he also noted the recent passing of his parents, Nelson and Brigit, explaining,“They always loved these awards; they loved being here.”
Ten awards were presented on the night, with entertainment by Johnny Brady.
Film director Jim Sheridan received a Lifetime Achievement Award, actor Ciarán Hinds (Film & TV), Kellie Harrington (Outstanding Contribution to Sport), Roisin Conaty (Comedy), and Clodagh McKenna (Culinary Excellence) were among those honored with awards at the glittering event, which annually celebrates the very best of Irishness.
