‘Today feels unbearably dark’: 12 people dead following shooting at Hanukkah celebration at Australia’s Bondi Beach

TWELVE people have been confirmed dead following a shooting at Bondi Beach in Australia, where around 1,000 were taking part in a Hanukkah celebration. Investigation continues after gang attacks Co. Armagh pensioner and attempts to set him on fire

POLICE are continuing to investigate an incident in Co. Armagh in which a masked gang attacked a pensioner with bats before attempting to set him on fire. The incident occurred at the man's home on Clay Road in Keady at around 7.35pm on Thursday. The ban restricting Catholics from attending Trinity College Dublin is finally lifted on this day in 1970. Through the help of the then Archbishop of Dublin John McQuaid, the Roman Catholic church removes its policy of disapproval or even excommunication for Catholics who enrolled at Trinity College without the proper permission. Authorities at the school also allow for a Catholic chaplain to be based at the college.
