TEN people have been confirmed dead following a shooting at Bondi Beach in Australia. The incident happened at around 6.45pm local time on Sunday (7.45am GMT). Three dead following two separate collisions in Co. Tipperary

THREE people have died following two separate road traffic collisions in Co. Tipperary this weekend. Two people are also being treated in hospital following the incidents, which occurred in Ballinunty and Clonmel. Father of former Celtic player and manager Neil Lennon passes away

GERRY LENNON, the father of former Celtic player and manager Neil Lennon, has passed away. The Co. Armagh native died at a care home on Friday 'surrounded by the love of his family' and will be laid to rest on Monday. Three people die in separate fires in Northern Ireland this weekend

THREE people have died following separate fires at residential properties in Northern Ireland thus weekend. The ban restricting Catholics from attending Trinity College Dublin is finally lifted on this day in 1970. Through the help of the then Archbishop of Dublin John McQuaid, the Roman Catholic church removes its policy of disapproval or even excommunication for Catholics who enrolled at Trinity College without the proper permission. Authorities at the school also allow for a Catholic chaplain to be based at the college.
