Wind and rain weather warnings in place for seven counties across Ireland

WEATHER warnings are in place for seven counties across Ireland with heavy rain and strong winds expected. A Status Yellow rain warning for Donegal, Leitrim, Mayo and Sligo came into effect on Saturday night and is in place until 9pm today. Funerals held for four of the five young people who died in Co. Louth collision

THE FUNERALS have taken place of four of the five young people who tragically died in a collision in Co. Louth last week. Billy “the kid,” born William McCarty, commits his first murder on this day in 1877. The infamous outlaw was born in an Irish neighborhood of New York to a family who had immigrated during the famine. His mother moved his family west, where McCarty became involved with small crimes as a teenager. After getting into an argument with Irish immigrant Frank Cahill, Billy the kid shot the man and fled to New Mexico, where he began his long career of outlawry.
