Police treat Co. Tyrone assault as racially-motivated hate crime

POLICE have said they are treating an incident in Co. Tyrone in which a man was verbally abused, assaulted and had his phone taken as a racially-motivated hate crime. Gardaí confirm ‘number of fatalities’ following collision in Co. Louth

GARDAÍ have confirmed there have been a 'number of fatalities' following a road traffic collision in Co. Louth. Woman in her 60s dies following house fire in Co. Offaly

A WOMAN in her 60s has died following a house fire in Co. Offaly. The incident occurred at around 10pm on Friday at the property in Moneygall on the Offaly/Tipperary border. Billy “the kid,” born William McCarty, commits his first murder on this day in 1877. The infamous outlaw was born in an Irish neighborhood of New York to a family who had immigrated during the famine. His mother moved his family west, where McCarty became involved with small crimes as a teenager. After getting into an argument with Irish immigrant Frank Cahill, Billy the kid shot the man and fled to New Mexico, where he began his long career of outlawry.
