Minister will mark 90 years of diplomatic relations between Ireland and Spain

IRELAND’S EU Minister Thomas Byrne has begun an official visit to Spain this week to strengthen relations between the nations. The visit is part of a programme being undertaken by the minister ahead of Ireland taking up the EU presidency next year. Ireland deports adults and children on chartered flight to Georgia

IRELAND has deported 52 people on a chartered flight to Georgia this morning. Billy “the kid,” born William McCarty, commits his first murder on this day in 1877. The infamous outlaw was born in an Irish neighborhood of New York to a family who had immigrated during the famine. His mother moved his family west, where McCarty became involved with small crimes as a teenager. After getting into an argument with Irish immigrant Frank Cahill, Billy the kid shot the man and fled to New Mexico, where he began his long career of outlawry.
