Man dies in early hours collision in Galway

A MAN has died in a collision in Co. Galway. The single vehicle incident happened in Lavally in Tuam in the early hours of the morning on November 2. The man, aged in 30s, was the only person in the car, which crashed on the L2107 at Cappadavock at around 4.30am. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Public appeal to find car hijacked in Tipperary

GARDAÍ have issued a public appeal to help locate a car which was hijacked in Tipperary. Woman hospitalised after being seriously injured by firework

A WOMAN is receiving treatment in hospital after being seriously injured by a firework on Halloween. The firework was set off at a home in Dublin at around 6.30pm on October 31. The woman, who is aged in her 30s, was treated at scene by members of the Dublin Fire Brigade. Billy “the kid,” born William McCarty, commits his first murder on this day in 1877. The infamous outlaw was born in an Irish neighborhood of New York to a family who had immigrated during the famine. His mother moved his family west, where McCarty became involved with small crimes as a teenager. After getting into an argument with Irish immigrant Frank Cahill, Billy the kid shot the man and fled to New Mexico, where he began his long career of outlawry.
