Over 150 arrested for driving under influence over bank holiday weekend

MORE than 150 people were arrested across Ireland for driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs over the bank holiday weekend. Funding of €1.1m confirmed to promote Irish arts around the globe

A FUNDING pot of €1.1m has been confirmed to promote Irish arts and culture around the globe. Teen arrested after drugs and scrambler seized

A TEENAGER has been arrested in Co. Tyrone after drugs and a scrambler were seized. Neighbourhood police officers were called to the Bradley Way area in Strabane on October 28 following reports of a scrambler being ridden in the area. Witness appeal after pensioner dies in Donegal collision

A WOMAN has died following a collision in Donegal. The pensioner, who was aged in her 80s, was involved in the single vehicle incident at around 3.50pm yesterday afternoon. Billy “the kid,” born William McCarty, commits his first murder on this day in 1877. The infamous outlaw was born in an Irish neighborhood of New York to a family who had immigrated during the famine. His mother moved his family west, where McCarty became involved with small crimes as a teenager. After getting into an argument with Irish immigrant Frank Cahill, Billy the kid shot the man and fled to New Mexico, where he began his long career of outlawry.
