THE Council of Europe has called on the UK to make better efforts to promote the use of the Irish language in Northern Ireland. POLICE have named a pedestrian who was killed in a collision with a lorry in north London last year. PSNI officers have confirmed a security alert at a GAA ground in Belfast yesterday afternoon was a ‘hoax’.
