Appeal after man dies in collision in Co. Roscommon

GARDAÍ have appealed for information after a man died in a two-vehicle collision in Co. Roscommon. The incident occurred on the R280 at Arigna on Tuesday, September 3 at around 8.20pm. Irish-based firm Kingspan criticised in Grenfell report over development and marketing practices

KINGSPAN, the Co. Cavan-based insulation company, has been criticised in a report into the 2017 Grenfell disaster that claimed 72 lives. The ban restricting Catholics from attending Trinity College Dublin is finally lifted on this day in 1970. Through the help of the then Archbishop of Dublin John McQuaid, the Roman Catholic church removes its policy of disapproval or even excommunication for Catholics who enrolled at Trinity College without the proper permission. Authorities at the school also allow for a Catholic chaplain to be based at the college.
