Woman who died in Co. Antrim collision is named

POLICE have named the woman who died in a collision in Co. Antrim on Tuesday as 44-year-old Eileen Thornton. Ms Thornton, who was from the Broughshane area, died in hospital following the incident in Ballymena yesterday evening. Appeal after man dies in collision in Co. Roscommon

GARDAÍ have appealed for information after a man died in a two-vehicle collision in Co. Roscommon. The incident occurred on the R280 at Arigna on Tuesday, September 3 at around 8.20pm. President John F. Kennedy receives a warm welcome upon his visit to his ancestral home in Co. Wexford, Ireland. Marking the second day of his four day trip through Ireland, Kennedy also visited the nearby town of New Ross, where his great-grandfather Patrick Kennedy left from in 1848 during the potato famine. Kennedy made a speech stating, “When my great-grandfather left here to become a cooper in East Boston he carried nothing with him except two things–a strong religious faith and a strong desire for liberty. I am proud to say that all of his grandchildren have valued that inheritance.”
